I began my golfing career on my 11th birthday when I joined Ingestre Park Golf Club, where I got my first handicap of 36. My handicap continued to fall and during my time at Ingestre I won both the Junior Club Championships and Mens Scratch Knock Out (Oakley Vase) twice. I also represented Stafforshire County at both junior and senior levels also during my time at school I represented both Staffordshire and Midlands schools.

On leaving school I went to The University of Birmingham where I obtained a BA Honours degree in Applied Golf Management Studies. During the course I studied the mechanics of the golf swing, sports science, physiotherapy, sports psychology, coach theory and equipment technology amongst other golf related subjects. |
During my time in Birmingham I played a big part in the University Golf Team being treasurer then later Club Captain. I represented the university throughout my three years in national BUSA events qualifying on all three occasions for the knock out stages and captaining the BUSA Shield winning team.
During my summers when at University I worked at Uttoxeter Golf Club under the watchful eye of Adam McCandless where I began my teaching. On leaving University I went on to work at Izaak Walton Golf Club along side Paul Brunt. Whilst there I decided to further my education and become a mind factor coach after working closely with European Tour Mind Factor Coach Dr Karl Morris
In December 2007 I moved to The Shropshire and have now turned my focus to teaching full time and hope to continue improving my own game.
As well as golf I enjoy most sports and play both badminton and five-a-side football. I am also an avid fan of Birmingham City and try to go as often as I can.
